A monstrously big black ale aged for 3 months in Templeton Rye barrels. Flavors of vanilla, coconut, chocolate, coffee, cherry and rye are matched by the warming effects of the brew.

Appears black with minimal head. Nose is rye, vanilla, thin on the roasted malts, light oak. Taste is sweet with caramel, marshmallow, an molasses. Light vanilla and rye qualities come through as well. Somewhat lackluster compared to other ba stouts. Mouthfeel is lacking in body. Overall, decent but not amazing.

On-tap at Haymarket, served in a 12 oz chalice.
A- Pours black with a 1 finger dark tan head. Small ring and bubbles form a top the surface of the beer.
S- Chocolate, oak, vanilla, and whiskey.
T- Dark chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, oak, whiskey, some dark fruits, and some slight bitterness.
M- Medium body and carbonation. This beer has a thin feel for the style and especially for a 11% beer.
O- Nice ba stout. Good roast and whiskey notes but the thinness knocks this beer down a peg.
