Nice little West-Coast collaboration here, pours clear gold with a hint of amber and a cap of eggshell foam two-fingers high. Leans into some bitter, woody and grassy hops, there is some felt hop oil present, fairly dry and peppery on the finish, with just the slightest pronounced hint of alcohol in the present caramel. Decent WCDIPA.

16 oz can. Stamped October 7th.
Beautiful amber gem capped by a fluffy, off-white head that rises 3 fingers in height. Great retention, layered lacing.
Nose: slight citrus zest, some onion, and hints of juniper.
The juniper, coupled with a mildly astringent flavor, goes in a ginny direction. Then the grapefruit zest, grass, and onion notes cuts it a bit. Not unpleasant, just a little muddled.
Mouthfeel is medium, good carb, and the finish is dry and bitter in the juniper berry direction.
Overall, I'll probably come back to this one to see if I get a different take.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Deep golden pour, clear, lasting foamy head, streaky lacing. Hoppy aroma, earthy, light caramel. Taste brings a hoppy bite up front, earthy, malty, mild sweetness. The hoppiness stays the course for a nice old school IPA vibe.

Packaged October 7th, 2024 - enjoyed on December 8th, 2024. Poured from a pint can into a snifter.
Tangerine liquid, perhaps a little chill haze, supporting an ivory crown. Fine filligree of lace adorns the sides, faint yet sticky tears capture the foam. Very good retention.
Grapefruit, tangerine, and scallions in the nose - somewhat catty. Fruity and a little peculiar.
Potent and aggressive palate entry, moderately bitter with assertive earthy hop notes joined by an unrestrained malt presence. Clean dry finish with just a hint of flan. Some residual cedar and floral notes and another hint of citrus.
Biting, medium-bodied mouth-feel with prickling yet gentle carbonation. Warming in a menthol sort of way, but the ABV is reasonably well concealed.
I imagine this will not be to everyone's taste, as it harkens back to a more resinous PNW style IPA (though the pine/grapefruit interplay isn't particularly intense), but this brings back happy memories for me.

Pours a clear amber with long-lasting foam in the Duvel nonic. Aroma is thought-provoking with something in the citrus and arboretum line. This is a different tasting DIPA, as in weird. I taste gin and juniper, with blueberries and orange peel. There's an odd aftertaste of olives and something very dark and woody. Not that I often taste leaf mold, but that's what I am thinking. Some sweetness, but the bitter finish lingers. I guess we should be open to new experiences. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine.

Beautiful beer. 3 weeks old and into a modified perfect pint glass with carbonation initiation grid. Perfectly clear, medium gold to amber. 2 finger off white pillowy head. Some lacing. Really nice balance of bitternesss with ripe orange zest flavor. Just a tad thinner mouthfeel than expected for an Imperial IPA, but perhaps in line with the moderate ABV of 8.0. Overall, a great double IPA.
