12th Anniversary: 12 years of beer with Figueroa Mountain Brewing calls for a celebratory brew. Forever inspired by high quality ingredients, we sourced the highest quality smoked malts from Bamberg Germany's own Weyermann Specialty Malts. Using nearly 90 percent smoked malts, 12th Anniversary Eisbock is rich flavored, smooth, and aged to perfection. Notes of toffee, vanilla, toasted rye, and mild oak smoke seamlessly integrate from a year's rest in a blend of 17 year Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrels, as well as 12 year Old Forester Bourbon Barrels. Its time to light the bonfire, bust out the fancy glassware and toast to the 12th!

Finished off a flight with Fig Mountain’s 12th anniversary beer while on vacation in Santa Barbara with family. Had generally liked their anniversary beers before so I was looking forward to this one. Found something online that described it as “12th Anniversary: 12 years of beer with Figueroa Mountain Brewing calls for a celebratory brew. Poured a light copper mostly clear color with a finger of khaki white head when I got it. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Good watery lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled smoked ham, char wood, campfire, peat moss, prune, date, plum, dark fruit and caramel. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted a little different than the nose but a little better. In order got smoked ham, char wood, campfire, peat moss, caramel, toffee, prune, date, plum, dark fruit and hints of bourbon. Very smooth for 13.5 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Smooth, smoky finish. (Feel - 4.75)
This was a different kind of beer but that’s what anniversaries are for. Glad I got to try it. I liked it. (Overall - 4.25)
