mexican lager with cucumber and lime, really summery and good, i added it as a field beer on account of the cucumber, but a very solid mexican lager at its core, which exists on its own in their lineup as well. this may also be known as pepino y limon, but it was presented to me in english. immediately nice balance between the cucumber and lime, both honest and natural, fairly robust in aroma and flavor but not at the expense of the base beer, which is key, and which the macro brands are missing in their flavored iterations. blonde and pretty clear, some head from the tap, ample carbonation. aroma of the waxy green peel of the cucumber, an almost hotel water thing, earthy and verdant and fresh, supporting natural juicy lime, maybe some corn in the base beer, subtle sweetness there, near neutral lager yeast but obvious crispness, nothing cheap or artificial about it, not perfumy or anything. the flavor is great, the cucumber and lime add interesting wrinkles of refreshment, cucumber lush and fresh early, the lime sharper and and zesty even with some bitterness to it at the end, clean swallow, well lagered, light bodied without being thin, amazing honestly to these extra ingredients, nice dosage, and overall a super drinkable flavored beer, which is so infrequently the case, actually refreshing, really good. the cucumber is unique but its an awesome element in this, maybe the most robust flavor, but its all very cohesive and well integrated. i super dug this, perfect hot weather beer too, could see it with spicy street tacos or something also, very nicely done! id be interesting in trying the base agua santa mexican lager too, seems great from this version!
