Served in a Belgian tulip from the tap at the brewery.
The tulip glass lends this beer some real elegance. It's a dark golden color with a thin, fizzy pale white head and slight trickles of carbonation.
A bright, floral aroma with bubblegum is there on this one. Malt and yeast lend sweetness with what always reminds me of a lily bouquet.
I'm still getting a lot of bubblegum from the nose to the tongue. Sweet malt gives a hint of bread and caramel. There's a bit of hop resin towards the finish.
Sweet on the tongue initially, bubbly and medium-bodied. The finish is bitter and semi-dry.
This has improved since my first try of it a few weeks back. It's more bitter and hoppy than most Saisons, but it works.
