Fall Saison starts with a saison blueprint and then adds pear and cinnamon. The result is an autumnal ale with just enough flavor to keep you coming back for more. The label art for this seasonal saison was done by Dayna Walton - aka Solstice Handmade.

16oz can bottled 9/19/22. 4 pack for 3.99 at Horrocks. 6.2% ABV. Brewed with pear and cinnamon.
Pours out to a slightly hazy burnt orange forming a modest white head with fairly good retention and a solid sheet of lacing. Carbonation is moderate, ~2.5 carbs, less than traditional bottled saisons. The nose is all yeast esters, clove and bananas. I don't get any cinnamon and would not know it was brewed with pears as this just smells more like a hefe weizen, less funky than most belgian saisons. Overall sweet up front with bananas and cloves, then the cinnamon becomes apparent (although it's quite subtle), then i'm getting a sucrose kinda cotton candy/apple juice thing in the middle, a little wave of fruity pepper, mild bitterness, then a lingering sweet finish. No funk here. Although this is sweeter than most saisons, the cinnamon gives the illusion of even more sweetness. A bit too sweet for my tastes. I like my saisons fairly dry. Mouthfeel is a bit syrupy as well. No off flavors, just that the FG finished way too high.

Gets a B as a beer, gets a C- as a saison. Worth the $4/4pack though.

Received from @BigIronH in the NBS BIF #16. Canned on 9/19/2022. Poured into a tulip glass. It pours a slightly hazy, honey-amber color with more than a finger of fluffy, bright white head and soapy lacing. The smell is subdued but there is faint pear and spice. You can really taste the cinnamon and other spices and there is significant hoppy bitterness throughout. As it warms a bit I taste more of the pear but it's never more than subtle. The finish is spicy - almost peppery. It's well-carbonated and the 6.2% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, this is an enjoyable Saison. I like the taste of pear and wish it were more prominent.

Always glad to have another saison from Vivant, even if it I have to travel to southwest Michigan to find Vivant. This Fall Saison's sweetness makes it flexible at the table. From a 4-pack, the first 16 ounce can worked well with home-made pizza... even made it better. The second can improved my very ad hoc additions to a well-known 13 Bean Soup. From pizza to soup, Fall Saison has a good start in life as a table saison.... but it also needs a few improvements.

Fall Saison could Look better: it Looks flat for a saison, not much foam; but arguably average given its almost amber tinge. Smells also offer some tree fruit (pear). Tastes, while almost balanced, are sweet; but this helps at the table as it makes my glands salivate over some average food (like that soup that needed lots of salt to be acceptable.) In my mouth, Fall Saison is a bit light for when medium-mouth makes it easier for an ale to let the food play.

I give better Overall ratings because I like Vivant. This is at least my 15th unique from Vivant (as I deleted a few), but it certainly would be more convenient if they distributed in Illinois again.

11/28/22 A second can of the Michigan-bought 4-pack cleaned my palate and started lunch. All this confirms Vivant's skills at brewing for the table.

Pours pale amber with a fluffy white head. Nose is pear, fall spices, and base saison funk. Taste follows suit. A bit sweeter than I expected and no tart notes present. Feels crisp but syrupy. Overall, good.
