I found this at Belmont Party Supply near Dayton, Ohio. The picture on the bottle features a scarecrow sitting on pumpkins in front of a cornfield and a dark moon. The beer pours an amber color with a medium head with decent retention. In the nose is malt and caramel. The taste is pretty typical for an amber lager, with the malt character dominating but the hops certainly present as well. The mouthfeel, as the bottle advertises, is smooth and creamy and has just enough thickness to capture the malt character. Overall, this was an enjoyable beer and one that I would have again.

This beer poured a dark Amber color with a thin white head that disapated quickly.

The aroma was ready with a slight hint of toasted malt.

The initial taste is sweet and malty, but that gives way very quickly to a heavy smoky flavor in the middle. The beer finishes with a slightly hoppy , biscuity flavor.

The mouthfeel was smooth and a bit on the heavy side with very low carbonation.

This was an interesting version of an Oktoberfest. It had enough of the qualities of an Oktoberfest that it didn't betray the style, but it tasted a lot like a Dopplebock or a Swartzbeer. If you are looking for a complex, but smooth tasting version of an Oktoberfest, this would be a nice choice.
