A festive spin on our classic coffee stout, we traded a portion of our custom, single-origin coffee blend with hundreds of pounds of roasted pecans, chocolate fudge, artisan caramel, and Madagascar vanilla. Comforting notes of pecan pie batter, freshly roasted coffee and scenes of chilly cafe mornings await inside this wintertime elixir.

Pours a deep, almost black , brown, with a brief tan head. No lacing. Aroma is of vanilla, caramel, coffee and roasted malts. They combine to produce an enjoyable taste. Mouthfeel is somewhat thin with a higher carbonation than I would like in a stout. Overall very good taste but a little more heft in the body and smoother carbonation would take this into a much higher level.

Another beer got me by the name, who could not love turtle coffee stout. Letting the beer warm up to 50 degrees, I begin my examination of the appearance. The pour created a creamy tan one-fingered head with no retention. No lacing was left on the tulip glass after the quick dissipation. The color charts around SRM 32; are a dark brown with no highlight or hues. The beer is opaque. Sadly the appearance is just par for this style.
The coffee aromas leap out of the glass, followed by caramel, chocolate, and a nuttiness. Nosing glass, I detect dark roasted malts, bread, raisins, and a whiff of a campfire. The aromatic coffee made smelling the beer was a challenge.
Now the beer has warmed to my preferred drinking temperature. I took a small sip and evaluated the offering. The coffee flavors are intense, but the other flavors come through nicely. I am tasting caramel, nuts, chocolate, figs, campfire smoke, dark roasted malts, bread crust, and raisins.
The mouthfeel is creamy and thick, finishing smooth. The body is medium-plus and has low carbonation.
The flavors are not overly sweet; however, there is this odd flavor. The odd flavor is akin to mixed band-aids, peanut butter, and caramels. I am not saying this is terrible, just weird.

16oz can from Tavour. Thick, black pour, substantial dark brown head recedes quickly. Coffee pops up first in the aroma, followed closely by chocolate and caramel. Taste starts sweet, coffee apparent but not dominant, chocolate and caramel with a hint of pecan. Coffee crops up again at the finish. Creamy feel.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a big fluffy head and lots of lacing.
This smells kind of like artificial caramel syrup for coffee, with some sweet coffee, vanilla, and milk chocolate as well.
The regular Rêve is significantly better than this one, as the coffee flavor is more distinct in that one. The caramel addition here sort of just makes this one generically oversweet and muddled, and it loses that unique coffee character that makes the regular version so nice.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and kind of sugary and syrupy.
I expected to like this one a lot more than I ended up liking it. It's just kind of messy and basic.

Very nice deep brown color. Aroma is wonderful - sweetness of chocolate and vanilla with a distinct coffee factor. Taste was a bit flat compared to the aroma & the mouthfeel was a bit too thin. Decent stout.

Solid black body; thin yet lasting head, light khaki color, frothy and semi-creamy. Rich, sweet aroma infused with coffee tones; vanilla and milk chocolate. The taste amplifies the smell; richer chocolate and coffee presence, heavier vanilla note; caramel with a slight nutty quality; very subtle alcohol presence in the background. Heavy body; silky and oily.
A wonderful beer all around, even with the looks (low points if only because of the thinness of the head and lack of rings or legs of foam). The aroma and taste are rich and decadent with dark sweetness. Definitely close to being a milk or sweet stout in character. The coffee does a fine job of complementing the sweetness and adds just the right touch of offsetting character to really make this beer shine.
Pouring temperature: 51 °F; canning data: CANNED ON 01/27/22

Brownish black body with a finger of tan foam. Aromas of caramel, vanilla and chocolate with a coffee and earthy nut base. Taste is flipped with the coffee, earthy roast, and nuts leading, verging on a hint of metal but stops short, astringent chocolate with brightening caramel, vanilla and malt finish. Feel is medium-light bodied yet chewy, sweetness and roast is well balanced, again feel that hint of metal creeping in but never gets there. Loved the original, this was ok
