A: The beer is dark purple in color. It poured with a quarter finger high pink head that died down, leaving a patch of bubbles on the surface and a small collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate sour aromas of black currants are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of black currants and black cherries. with hints of oak and vanilla. There is a light amount of sourness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has lots of aromas and flavors of black currants and isn't really that sour compared to other beers in the style.

Mahogany in color with a puny head made of a coarse foam around the circumference. Aroma of grapes, wine & sour & overripe fruit. Taste is sour, salty sweet but not tart. Flavor is it’s strong point, impressive. Raisin, malt wine flavors, oak & dark fruit. All nicely balanced. Medium body & it’s low carbonation work well together. Thirst queni& delicious.

Reminded me of a sangria but with darker fruit. Sour finish after flavors of wine, currant, blueberry, raspberry, and what I can best describe as gummy bear. Dark and sour, thick body to boot. Smell could be a perfume

My very good friend Jon Passow sent this a bottle of this to me in a birthday beer package, as I had my birthday a few weeks ago. Poured into one of my tulip glasses, this beer pours a mainly hazy/cloudy, almost even murky looking, medium to dark copper color with a medium ring of foam lining the inside of the glass along with a little cluster swirl of foam right in the middle of the beer's surface. Aromas of tart, sour funk, and certainly the black currants are all nicely present. The taste is pretty much the same, with a bit of a bready malt, some nice sour funk and tart notes that give way to just a hint of salt and vinegar and of course a fairly strong flavor of the black currant. Very nice flavor profile all around and a good representation of this style I feel. Has a crisp yet also fairly smooth, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and slightly dry after taste. Quite enjoyable here.
