a really tasty new one from almanac, a brett fermente saison, far less sour than a lot of their other beers, with passion fruit, orange, and guava in it, a delicious combination of warm weather fruits and they seem to share the stage very equally with each other in this brew. its golden and hazy and active from the tap, and the funk is more forward than the acid in here, but there is a bit of tang from the orange for sure, like concentrate orange juice. usually guava is lost in these sort of things, other fruits take it over, but i get it quite distinctly here, especially in the flavor, sweet and fleshy and floral, really nice with the tartness of the passion fruit, the winey bretty funk, and the zesty sweet orange, a complex layering of the fruits but its not too much, it really works. its still yeast driven to me, earthy and then dry in the end, with the fruits all working so well with the brett. this is really interesting, juicy, and delicious, and its one of the better recent almanac beers i have had. i hope this makes it to the bottle. awesome combination of these fruits, summery and unique. i love it.

I loved this. Had it on tap at almanac taproom. Just a touch of brett character with the obvious pog aroma and flavor. Saison spice and mouthfeel was there in the finish - really ties up the brew nicely and stays true to the saison style with a perfect balance of adjuncts. Can't wait for this to be bottled (I heard they are planning on it).
