On tap at the brewery.
Bourbon barrel aged Imperial stout with ancho chile, cacao nibs, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Deep dark brown, slight khaki head.
Nose is a muted bourbon meets char and sweet with some mild green ancho chile notes. Slightly vegetal.
Taste is a little more nuanced and complex. Some pleasant cinnamon notes peek in but are tamed by the ancho. Mild charred malt notes give some depth to the sweetness.
Mouthfeel is chewy enough.
Overall, pretty good but does;t feel like it fully commits to the whole Mexican stout thing.
