Hazy, bright yellow color with pillowy, white head. Aroma is really brett forward with citrus fruits and floral yeast esters. Taste starts yeasty and fruity, with a bit of tartness. Body is medium, quite smooth and has a high effervescence. Overall it's a really nice beer, mostly yeast forward but you also get a nice citrusy fruitiness.

375ml bottle served cold in a wine glass.

Appearance: very Pale gold with a rocky head. Slight chill haze and some sediment

Nose: tropical fruit, some funk, lemony, fruity and some Malt

Taste: very fruity, very light funk, tropical, mildly tart, highly carbonated, apple, oranges, lemon and other fru its

Overall: I was very impressed with this beer from CS. I expected something more tart or sour but was pleasantly surprised that it is only mildly tart. Delicious.

This should be interesting. 375 ml bottle into a tulip glass.

A - A hazy yellow-orange with a bright white head. After about 2 minutes the head mostly disappears and leaves a thin film on top. Meh..

N - Plenty of funk, and a wheat-y tartness. Smells more like a saison to me, which is no issue for me. I get sweet citrus in there too.

T - Oooo, this is perfect. Just the right amount of tartness. I get a mild hoppiness on the finish, but otherwise it's 100% tart citrus. Very impressive.

M - This is everywhere right away. It's actually fairly low on the carbonation, but it works perfectly with the tartness. This is an extremely well-crafted brew.

O - Another winner from Crooked Stave. I enjoyed this immensely.

375ml split with hab11 in treehouse tulips.

Look: Outstanding orange citrus juicy color. Limited off white head quickly dissipating to a nice fine layer of bubbles on top. Good carbonation. No real legs but good oils coating the side of the glass. Really nice thick orange yellow with great balanced carbonation.

Smell: Wow. Usually for crooked stave the Brett comes through so much but surprisingly the citrus overpowers the Brett which comes through as a secondary smell. Amazing candied fruit smell. Aromas of mandarin, tangerine, nectarine, peach and mango. Fleshy orange citrus fruits with candy come through with a nice citrus brett. c. coming through as well.

Taste: Hot damn. So.much.citrus. So much wow. Great citrus brett flavors provide a great reaction from my salivary glands. I just want to pour this into a glass of champagne and make the best mimosa ever.

Mouthfeel: Some obligatory bullshit thing about the mouthfeel. Good medium body. Great lactic and citric acid combination for a nice salivary reaction. No complaints really. Expected it to be a bit more effervescent.

Overall: Well...not my favorite offering from crooked stave but honestly it is everything that it promises to be. So.much.citrus. great great citrus and limited/muted lactic acid. Would prefer to drink other offerings from this brewery for the Brett buuut this is one of the best citrus beers I have ever had behind only HF Flora satsuma mandarin. I would love to stockpile these and make amazing mimosas.

Crooked Stave Saint Bretta Summer 2014 Batch 3
Split with Three Lions from a 375 ml bottle.

Look: Bright school paper white head, bubbles appear throughout the glass, nice golden wheat color, thin lacing leads to a resinous after effect

Smell: Nuclear citru and other fruit bomb on the nose, Brett is a leftover residual. God what's not here might be easier to say than what is. Orange, Mango, tangerine, grapefruit etc. are all abundant plus a tone of others.

Taste: Tart up front, fruit, sugar, lactase everywhere else. The taste delivers absolutely everything the nose promises and then some. My mouth is singing hallelujah (appropriate because it's easter).

Feel: really effervescent up front, based on the lacing not as sticky as I expected light but not thin but not syrupy or thick either.

Overall: this beer is Bo Derek a perfect 10. Really can not find a single thing to be critical of. This beer more than hits its style and is just simply pleasing to drink.
