The best version of this mixed fermentation. The bourbon really raised this up a notch, and the aging highlighted the sour characteristic. Sweet and tart. Thanks again, El Jason.

Pours a hazy deep orange/amber color into CS tulip. Small ring of head floats around the rim and lingers, while being replenished from the bottom, for the length of the glass. . Aroma of sour apple, earth, hay, funk, oak and bourbon (vanilla, tannic) the flavor is just that of the aroma but you get the tartness (4/10), earthy funk first, then the Bourbon on the finish. The Bourbon is light, and not overpowering but gives the impression of sweetness on the dry finish of this well crafted beer. There is much complexity, but also great balance, of the many things going on in this glass. Overall, I have not had the other Sin Frontera offering (Sherry), nor the ones from the other breweries involved in the collaboration, but "this right here" is a gem. I wish it were a little higher in ABV and tartness, but that is just my personal preference. Excellent beer guys.
