On tap at the Falling Rock Tap House in Denver, Co.
Pours a very hazy yellow orange with minimal head.
Smells good to a degree where even though I am in public I went "woo boy" pretty loudly upon taking a sniff. Dry yeast, white pepper, sharp berry funk. The 'Stave can rock an aroma, my friends.
Tastes very wonderfully the same as it smells, only with a light hint of apricots at the end. Very light. Like I would not have picked up on apricots at all if they weren't clearly listed in the beer's name. There's a very, pleasant aftertaste of astringent bacteria and yeast that lingers for quite a while after the beer is swallowed.
Crooked Stave is well worth trading for, and I'm always super pleased when I see it inexplicably available in Maine. On tap, however, and fresh, they are goddamn amazing. A+.
