The color is dark brown but light passes through the center. Minimal head which leaves little lace.

Plenty of raspberry and soured cherry aroma.

The taste is very sour with a less pronounced berry presence. The body is very thin with a moderate carbonation level. The finish and aftertaste is puckeringly sour, perhaps too much of a good thing.

If you love sour beers, this is a borderline extreme beer in that category.

L: Murky dark brown color with very little head but lots of fingers of lacing.

S: Lots of sour and tart lactic acid, dark cherry stone fruits, wood, notes of caramel and vanilla in the background. The Bourbon is not overly noticeable.

T: Tart fruit, dark stone fruit, some caramel and vanilla, malt and wood. Bourbon is a little noticeable but if I didn't know it was Bourbon Barrel Aged I might have missed it.

F: Light body, medium carbonation.

O: Good beer, but I like regular Origins better.

On tap for Beachwood Sour Fest at Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach, CA.

Pours a murky brown with a foamy tan head that fades to nothing. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with malt, fruit, wood, and slight bourbon aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour fruit, wood, and bourbon flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty but I think regular Origins is better.
