Was happy to see this at my next-door liquor store. Had it on my wish list and it’s Enegren, so it had to be good. Their website called this “Our Rotating Single Hop Pilsner Series is where we explore the subtle contributions of a wide variety of hop to the well balanced, classic German-Style Pilsner. We hop this beautiful lager with traditional hopping techniques using the same grain bill and mash profile for each brew.” Not sure I’ve had Willamette, but it calls for spicy, floral and fruity.
Poured a pale yellow clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of frothy white head, which thinned out quickly. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass, kind of looking like a snow globe. World-class foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled grain, sourdough bread, cracker, black pepper, cereal, grass and floral. Almost as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. Got sourdough bread, cracker, black pepper, cereal, grass, grain, floral, pear and hints of green apple. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium-to-light body. Thin-to-oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 5.00)
Just a great pilsner overall. Glad I grabbed a 4-pack. (Overall - 4.50)

This one is like the marshmallow man on Atkins. Like, something ain’t right here. I mean, he’s still the marshmallow man and I wanna take a bite, but there’s a lil boom boom missing. Needs more body and crispness.
Woot.
