Collaboration with Beachwood
The Reinheitsgebot is the German purity law stating beer must be made using only water, malt, hops, & yeast. Early German immigrant brewers had to throw this rule out the window in order to brew beer with ingredients on hand, i.e. cheap corn, rice & poor quality barley. This year we teamed up with Beachwood Brewing of Long Beach, California to brew this classic dortmunder style lager using all American ingredients including Liberty Hops from the Pacific Northwest & Idaho grown malted barley from Great Western Malting Co. & releasing it on the 505th anniversary of Reinheitsgebot, bringing glory back to the American made lager. Prost!

Went over to Windmill Farms to pick up a few beers. Was excited for this one because Enegren and then Beachwood. Untappd description was “The Reinheitsgebot is the German purity law stating beer must be made using only water, malt, hops, & yeast. Poured a light-to-medium amber clear color with 4-to-5 fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Tons of fast-moving bubble streams coming up from the bottom and along the sides of the glass. World-class foamy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled red apple, grain, pear, peach, grape, herbal, wet grass, hints of brown bread, cracker and honey. Really balanced on the nose. Not quite as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. Damn this is good. Got brown bread, earthy grain, red apple, pear, grape, hints of peach, herbal, floral, wet grass, honey, cracker and hints of light black peppery spice. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Clean, crisp finish. (Feel - 4.75)
Just an awesome beer. So damn good. Another banger from Enegren (and company this time). (Overall - 4.50)

Sweet bready malty and old school hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows with a sweet biscuity-malty, hint of lemon citrus, and nice hoppy bitter finish. This is really tasty...and it is more soft than crisp, but it is so clean and balanced! Great!
