Price: $4.88
From: Bottlecraft Beer Shop in San Diego, Calif. (Liberty Station)
Purchased: Aug. 29, 2021
Consumed: Sept. 2, 2021
Misc.: No canned on date
Picked up four different beers from Bottlecraft while in Liberty Station. I pretty much love everything Enegren does so was really looking forward to this one. Untappd description was “Our 10th Anniversary Zehn Fest Pilsner! A 6% Export Style Pilsner using Bohemian malt with Zuper Saazer (American Saaz) and Mt. Hood hops.”
Poured a medium yellow clear color with two fingers of frothy white head. Plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass. Decent watery lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled grain, lemon, Saaz, black pepper, floral, dry grass, herbal and earthy malt. About as good from the can, but not as much spice. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted even better than the nose. In order got earthy grain, Saaz, black pepper, dry grass, herbal, earthy malt, lemon and aspirin. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Bitter, dry finish. (Finish - 4.50)
Just another lovely beer from Enegren. Keep them coming! (Overall - 4.25)

It’s beautiful, you know? Simplicity. I’m all about coming home to my baby mama dressed up in vickys secret and laying on the couch by candle light. But there is also something about a pair of sweats and a hoodie. Like, I’ll always love you, girl - dressed up or simple. And in a way, simplicity can be more beautiful.
Be well, my children.

Maß can purchased at the brewery. Filled on 09/23/2021. I missed out on 16oz cans, but stoked that they had it on draft and were filling crowlers when I swung by.
Bright, clear, pale golden creamy white foam head and clingy lace. Looks glorious! Bread, herbal, spice, light zest in the nose. First sip is über smooth, soft, and creamy. Light-bodied, but firm with a malty backbone that's bready and a bit sweet with clean honey notes. Lemony, light citric snap with some tea-like herbal notes, floral, and a bitterness that turns slightly astringent. Some spice. Dry and biscuity in the finish.
Zehn Fest is probably one the best Pilsners that I've had in recent years. Definitely one of my favorite Enegren beers to date. Prost to 10 years of lagers!

Sweet, honey bread, biscuity malty, and lemon spice hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows with soft and sweet bready malts upfront...and then a balanced, old school hoppy, lemon citrus bitter finish. This one finishes soft on the palate instead of crisp and zappy like most pilsners. This is a tasty and crushable pils!
