16 oz. can. Black, big khaki head. Smells of a variety of roasted malt aromas. Coffee, toasted nuts, light cola. Tastes of sweet cola dark malts and spicy hops. Deep coffee roasted malts in the finish. A little sweet, but still light. Not my favorite profile, as it is a sweet beer, but it's as clean as can be.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours dark brown with a good amount of off-white head. The nose is full of luscious dark malts, grains, a bit of dark chocolate, bread. The taste is VERY good. Caramel, chocolate, dark bread, figs, dates, a touch of coffee, and a hint of smoke. Wonderful beer! Mouthfeel is fairly light with a nice malty aftertaste.

I was very, very late to the party when drinking this, but this is delicious! Not as much depth of flavor and, overall, not as good as Death & Taxes, but still so well made and enjoyable to drink!

Thanks, Shane!
Black with a brown head with good retention and lacing. The nose is soft, roasty, caramel, mildly toasty with dark brown sugar. A mild creamy note as well. Light chocolate, a little nutty. The palate opens mildly bitter and a little sweet with dark honey, toast, brown sugar and a little caramel. The mid-palate has a little more sweetness. Drying, faintly watery on the finish. Very good.

No date, but assuming the beer is quite fresh. Poured from a tall-boy can into my Moonlight shaped pint glass.
Clear bole body with a creamy almond cap. Rich fine lacing; superior retention.
Malt forward aromatics, rich, full, and toasty. Hints of coffee, chocolate, and loam. Faint hazelnuts. Clean and inviting.
Flavor follows the nose closely with rising intensity. Gentle palate entry with some brown bread notes and hints of German rye, caraway, and maybe some treacle. Low clean bitterness with a hint of forest floor and petrichor. Fairly dry, linear finish.
Soft, medium-full body with excellent carbonation. No astringency or heat. Extremely drink-able.
Masterfully crafted, respecting and in some ways transcending the stylistic traditions that inspired it.

Well, here we go: Moonlight meets Enegren, and Enegren meets Moonlight. Two wonderful things collide, but there is no damage. It’s like a beautiful sunrise and a full moon happening at the same time. Can it be? Oh, baby, drink this beer and you will see. I won’t call it godlike, but just to touch it is still an amazing thing.
See ya.
