Deep golden yellow under a moderate head. Settles to a blotchy film, gives up plenty lace along the way. Firmly grassy nose, a hint of spiciness, a touch of sweetness. Slightly metallic, strong biitter hops, a touch of sweetness again to finish.
A fair enough pils worth a try.

Can from the lcbo for around $3. A great pils and very refreshing. I'd pick this up again. A date on the can would be a welcome addition.

473 ml can served cold into a chalice. Canned September 27, 2016. Purchased from the LCBO for about $3 CDN.
Appearance - A rich golden hued beer with a long last finger and change of white head on top. Loads of fluffy lacing left around the edges of the glass. carbonation not readily apparent.
Smell - Rather earthy with a grain backing and mineral-esque aroma. A subtle fruity note that's hard to discern.
Taste - Clean and grainy with a heavy dose of hops in a pilsner. Plenty of earthy bitterness. Touches of lemon and the white grape as advertised. Some spiciness on the close.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and medium bodied with carbonation being a little light. A rather dry finish. Nailed this quite nicely.
Overall - A rather good pilsner with a little extra hop kick. I can see this being a semi-regular purchase provided it keeps being produced.

473 mL can from the LCBO; the best before date is smudged and distorted, but it starts off with a "27" if that helps any. I must assume that this is at least semi-fresh, because it just showed up in store earlier this week.
Pours a lightly fogged straw yellow colour; very effervescent at first, with almost two fingers of puffy, soapy white head floating upon the surface. Retention is excellent for a pale lager - even by the 10 minute mark, there is still a rocky, uneven layer of froth about a cm high, accompanied by a messy swath of seafoam lace. Doughy malts and crackery sweetness on the nose, with notes of grain husk, grassy hay, lemon zest and some floral, spicy undertones. Nothing out of the ordinary so far.
A decent rendition of a pale lager. Grainy, doughy pale malts and crackery sweetness dominate, with a pronounced hop bitterness on the back end - grassy for the most part, but also quite spicy and somewhat floral at times, with hints of lemon zest. Finishes with a sharp, grassy hop astringency that persists into the aftertaste, drying the palate out. Light in body, with moderate carbonation levels and a relatively soft texture by pale lager standards - feels smooth and foamy on the palate, with very good drinkability. I could see myself using this as a session beer, if the price were right.
Final Grade: 3.71, a serviceable B grade. Market Pils is a fine craft pilsener, but it's nothing to get excited about. Kensington first appeared on the Ontario (retail) beer scene at least four years ago - but after the initial wave of enthusiasm died down, I have barely heard a peep about these guys. While this is a decent pilsener, it's more aggressively-hopped than the majority of the European imports you'll try. If that sounds like it's up your alley, don't hesitate to give this one a shot - I don't regret the purchase, and wouldn't mind drinking more at some point. Still, I have my doubts that a $3.00 lager is going to be what propels this brewery back into relevance within Ontario craft beer geek circles.

Doesn't appear unfiltered as they claim on the can. Nice white head. Mild noble hop aroma and flavour with less 'American' flavour than they claim. Crackery malt flavour. This was definitely a good attempt but poorly executed.
