Lager Royale is a crisp and refreshing Premium Lager. Brilliant gold in color with a subtle grainy sweetness and low bitterness. Light citrus and herbal notes balance out the dry, cracker-like flavors and aromas, keeping it flavorful but not overwhelming.

Thanks, Sam!

Was lucky enough to get this one and a bunch of other good stuff from Sam. Their website called this one “Lager Royale is a crisp and refreshing Premium Lager. Brilliant gold in color with a subtle grainy sweetness and low bitterness. Light citrus and herbal notes balance out the dry, cracker-like flavors and aromas, keeping it flavorful but not overwhelming.”

Poured a straw-to-pale yellow clear color with two fingers of frothy white head, which really filled out nice. Could see plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass. Almost perfect foamy lacing. Perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)

Smelled lemon, lime, citrus zest, Centennial, grass, lemon cookie and some earthy malt. Almost as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got lemon, lime, citrus zest, Centennial, grass, lemon cookie and hints of earthy malt. (Taste - 4.00)

Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Long, clean finish. (Feel - 4.50)

Dang. Was surprised at how low these ratings were on Untappd. This was outstanding. (Overall - 4.25)

Lager Royale pours bright pale yellow, with a small, but massively lacing head. The aroma has a chemical note. The flavor is a sweet, light, bright cereal. Good feel. Overall, a pretty basic lager, enjoyable flavors, but light and easy.

Poured from 12 oz can I to pint glass.

Has a beautiful, fluffy, pillowy head that quickly recedes to a nice layer of foam, very aesthetically pleasing. Carbonation going strong after several minutes.

Nose is predominantly citrus hops with some malt tossed in. Taste is citrus right off the top, but a biscuit/grain/cracker flavor immediately steals the show with a bready/doughy finish. A very good take on the style. I suppose one could say it's a juicy lager (definitely reminds me of a citrusy IPA without the IPA (if that makes sense).

Excellent beer.

Poured from can into a sampler glass at a sampler fest. This replaced North Shore Lager, which was retired.

Pours medium gold colour, nice head that remains. Smell of cracker/biscuits that carries over into the taste - a well done lager.

12oz can. Can bottom is date stamped for 'CANNED ON 02/21/23'.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Thin finger of white head sticks around as a cap. Leaves behind scattered webs of lacing.
Aroma is cracker malts and citrus hops. Malt dominant.
Taste is slightly sweet, with a cracker malt base, and a bit of citrus and herbal hops. Low bitterness. More white bread flavor in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Crisp and clean finish. At the end the finish is dry. Very good carbonation.
Thirst quenching lager, slightly sweet from the malts.

12oz can into a 12oz Becher glass.
L: Pours straw light yellow w a 3/4" rounded half soapy white head w good retention to edge foam, VG carbo w large & small bubbles, random lightly thick sticky lacing.
S: Light cereal grains, gently floral, a hint of citrus zest, very light honey, a touch of caramelized malts.
T: Bright soft sweet hops, sweet & pale cereal grains/malts, yeast, lightly fruity, a hint of lemon & orange zest, honeysuckle flower, Vienna bread in the finish, not much aftertaste.
F: Gently brisk med-light bodied w a smooth med-fast clean and slightly drying finish.
O: A wonderful tasting American Lager that is playful and lightly fruity with a bready halo. Very easy drinking with a subtle & clean aroma. I would buy this again. It is excellent in its style.

It has some haze to it, smelling heavily of dank stanky lemon-lime hops, the taste is also heavy on the hops, with tasty honey malt coming out as it sits

Was hoping for something a little more traditional but this is an ok drinker...the bravo and centennial hops lend a lime/lemony citrus touch to a crackery malt backing. Nothing extraordinary but good to see another lager on the market. Good summer time beer for sure. More of a pilsner than an AAL.
