Globe at Beer Deluxe.
Pours a ruby amber colour with an off-white head that holds well.
Smell is warm,powerful and inviting with toffee and malt. A little bit of caramel as well.
Taste is fruity with a touch of booze. This is warming as well. Plenty of dark stewed plums in there. Gets to be a little too port like even with the not so big ABV.
Warm mouthfeel,boozy, too one-sided here.
Seems too big for itself. Lacks something to go with all the booze. Has the potential to be good, but doesn't get there at the moment.
