This one pours a slightly hazy golen yellow color, with a foamy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like clovey Belgian yeast, sharp grassy hops, lemon rind, grapefruit, and pear.
This is a solid beer, and yet another example of how I need more clean saisons in my life. The hop character is wonderful - grassy spice, lemon, grapefruit, and some stone fruit, along with pear, clove, and a sort of soft wheatiness. I love that this comes in a can, and I could certainly drink a lot of it.
This is crisp, and clean, and really refreshing tasting - I wish I had more of it to just gulp down.
I really enjoyed this one - I would expect no less from this brewery.

Aroma is fruit, hops and a creeping sugar/funk. The flavor is Belgian yeast, citrus, fruit, malts/slight biscuit, lemon and a mildly sweet/oily hop finish.

Bought from Tavour. Canned 8/4/20. Mega-fresh. Interesting. Better than good... and probably much better than good. This is a saison; but it also is not as versatile as the style's classic. I will prove -- or disprove -- that theory over time because I bought four copies from Tavour.
A huge voluminous head that quietly recedes to not much; leaving not enough foam, lace or protein swirls; and it all sits on a dishwater blonde of barely above average quality. Smells are more fulfilling from beginning to end and consistent. So are the Tastes; although the hops really assert themselves in mid-palate and that, in turn, restricts the variety of foods that Fortunate Sun will pair well with. In the mouth, more than medium-bodied and carbonated just enough to cleanse the palate. I had this with a burger and BBQ sauce. Also good with the summer salad.
I am a quiet fan of Logsdon's innovation and dedication. I will explore than in the second can of Fortunate Sun.
9/2/20 Upped my rating. Had most of the second can while warming-up my leftover ratatouille. Hit the spot to quench thirst from this hot summer day. Saved enough and it made the ratatouilles better. So, Fortunate Sun has more flexibility than I thought from the first can. I'm glad I bought four. Satisfied with this review, I'm keep count and making comments over at UnTappd.
