Brewed with hefty portions of wheat and oats, White Caps has a soft mouthfeel, a pillowy head, and a robust body. Featuring Mosaic and Citra hops, this effervescent Double IPA explodes with notes of papaya, mango, stone fruits, and citrus. Like the Atlantic during a nor'easter, White Caps is slightly dangerous, utterly crushable, and thoroughly New Jersey.

Can purchased in liquor store in NJ, relatively fresh.

A: Hazy, orange, foamy lingering head
S: Pineapple, mago
T: Apricot, Orange. Quite a bit of fruit flavor with some sharp bitterness on the backend
M: Crisp, slick, thick body
O: Wasn't expecting such a juicy beer, pleasantly surprised especially at the clean mouth feel after drinking.

Pours a hazy yellow color. A moderate foam head recedes and yields a creamy and thick ring of lacing.

The aromas are fruity with a hint of herbal dank. Notes of grapefruit, candied oranges, lime blueberry, and pineapple.

Juicy and fruity but with a dryness in the palate that aids drinkability. Creamy malts and oats support flavors of grapefruit, orange, pineapple, berries along with herbal and spicy notes of pine and grass. There is a decent amount of balancing bitterness. The finish is dry and smooth with some lingering bitterness.

Medium bodied, yet with a lightness that belies its DIPA stays. The mouthfeel is mostly smooth yet it has a gentle crispness. The carbonation is moderate.

This is nice! Classified as a DIPA, its drinkability makes it feel like an IPA. I would seek this again.

16 oz can listed at 7.5% ABV, enjoyed outside while watching the kids attempt to ride their bikes down the street. Thanks, Matt!

Deep gold color and cloudy with a big, fluffy, pillowy, white head. Great retention. Pleasant aroma of stone fruit, and orange citrus fruits. Ample bitterness in the flavor but it finishes soft and sweet. Medium bodied. An easy drinking Imperial IPA that kept my attention longer than most modern versions of the style.

Now it's time to empty a pint can of White Caps into a clear pint glass and be a judge. The aroma is one of starchy hops. The color is an opaque amber and the head and lacing are less than notable. This seems a little late to the show in diminishing hoppy bitterness with oats. wheat, lactose or other starches. It's ok at doing it, but there's nothing memorable here, either. Very drinkable, but nothing outstanding, even in the negative categories.

10th Review. Fan of this brewer which I visit annually in July. I being from Sandy Hook at the top of the Jersey Shore and it being at the bottom at Cape May Airport on its own private well. Visit often and share the mexican food.
a) Hazed yellow body with white caps lacing head as promised.
s) Big, tropical, fruit salad, lime, and grassy. Blossom perfume.
t) Bigger and adds more pine, resin, tangerine, cushy hemp.
f) Creamy yet resinous, cleansing. Lively carb.
o) One of their best.

Canned on 3/24/2020. Poured into a pint glass. It pours an opaque, grassy, pastel yellow with a half finger, foamy, milky cap and a thin sheen of lacing. There's lots of tangerine/orange on the nose, along with lemon, lime, and dark, resinous pine. The flavor is both fruity and dry. There's lemongrass and tangerine, along with weedy, herbal pine and a dry biscuit. The sweet citrus grows as it warms a bit. The fruitiness of the Cashmere, Citra, and Mosaic hops works well with the soft notes of the Sabro. It's tangy and only mildly bitter. A nice mouthfeel: medium-bodied with fairly lively carbonation, and it drinks very easily for 7.5%. Overall, White Caps is a well-crafted DIPA. I'm drinking it at over a month old and it's still very enjoyable. A great beer for a sunny day at the shore.

Good DIPA, to me tastes like the Always Ready (one of mh favs) with a bit more ABV.

Pours very cloudy light yellow, slightly opaque. Slight aroma , hoppy and tart citrus. Nice flavor - very citrusy, lots of lemon, big grapefruit flavor. Carbonation is appropriate. Overall a very nice DIPA.

Welcome back to Happy New "CAN We Visit the Cape & Drink Some Beer, Aunt May?!?" Sunday (Week 751)! The CANQuest (tm) will be in high gear today as a result. Hang tight!

From the CAN: "Double India Pale Ale"; "Juicy, Smooth, and Absurdly Drinkable"; "New Jersey Proud"; "Best Paired With [chicken legs; campfires; hotdogs]"; "Care for the Cape"; "Profile: Brewed with hefty portions of wheat and oats, White Caps has a soft mouthfeel, a pillowy head, and a robust body. Featuring Mosaic and Citra hops, this effervescent Double IPA explodes with notes of papaya, mango, stone fruits, and citrus. Like the Atlantic during a nor'easter, White Caps is slightly dangerous, utterly crushable, and thoroughly New Jersey."; "Crafted on the Cape"; "Unfiltered Keep Cold".

I did some in-CAN agitation before Crack!ing open the vent since it was clearly marked as "Unfiltered" & I wanted anything that may have flocculated back in suspension. Following the Crack!, I went with an inverted C-Line Glug to CANtinue to ensure that things were in suspension. It foamed up to form two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, French Vanilla-colored head with excellent retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose had an unusually spicy admixture of citrus and tropical fruits. It was as if the usual suspects had been sprinkled with black pepper! Mouthfeel was medium, a little on the thin side for the style. The taste was quite different from the same-old same-old in that the tropical fruits led the way with the citrus fruits as a seCANd, but with a peppery spiciness overlaying everything. Mmm. Finish was dry and spicy, but eminently drinkable. Yum.
