A blend of four different grains lay the foundation of this refreshing brew, leading to a medium bodied and highly quaffable ale. A traditional English ale yeast strain is used, lending a dry fruity note to the finish, with a blend of unique English hops bringing us home. These hops – a blend of Target, Challenger, and East Kent Goldings – lend a soft bitterness, with more earthy flavors compared to their more aromatic American cousins. Like all great English ales, the carbonation is on the lower end of the spectrum, allowing the complex grain bill and mild hop character to shine through. Over four pounds per barrel of local South Jersey honey was added to accentuate the sweeter note, with biscuit malts along for the ride to give us the beautiful copper leaning amber color, along with a slightly toasted, nutty note.

A fantastic ale. Dark amber in color. Aptly named; bready mellow biscuit leads in and finishes crisp and refreshing with a subtle linger of sweet honey on the tongue. One of the best brews of if style and excellent on a cool autumn day.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep gold-copper with almost no head. Initial impression is caramel, roasted nuts, and biscuit, with noticeable resinous hops present. Mouthfeel is on the light side, as is carbonation. Finish is dry and roasty. Very drinkable. Good stuff.

Happy to be adding this ESB to the Cape May line up. The best ESB I've every tasted. Beats Sawtooth and Fullers - perhaps because it's so fresh here.
a) tawny with last and lacing head.
s) Tho a workman's beer, my girlfriend loved it for its nutty and woody aroma, the roasted malts and grains. All evident in the aroma...
t) And the roasted 4 speciality grains shine in the taste!
f) Smooth, mid, sessionable, masculine. Dry fruity (prune like) finish. Savory. Great food beer.
o) Solid engine room of a beer and the best ESB I've ever tasted.
