Into a clear glass liter mug went the contents of two twelve ounce cans. The color is dark violet, almost plum-like. There's plenty of violet tinted head. It's smells more like a fruit beer than an IPA, with both blueberry and lemon noticeable. Yet, that IPA hop flavor is there, creating a great foil for the fruits. It's an enjoyable taste marriage. Its body is decent for the IPA style and the bitterness of the hops makes an excellent backbone. The lemon doesn't make this too tart, nor does the blueberry make it too sweet. The stratified glass lacing is good. Other than a little residual stickiness at the finish, there's nothing to complain about. Should there be a Fruited American IPA category?

This is one of the best Fruit beers I’ve ever had!!! I’m not sure why it’s an IPA because you don’t taste the hops. I’d get this everyday of the week and 2x on Sunday!!!

(12 oz can, born on 06/08/21; gifted a single... poured into a fat tulip)
L: clear (but not crystal), blueberry-syrup hued (purple-ruby) liquid; burst and build of gummy foam, collapsing to thick, clingy collar... crescent lace topper, collar split halfway into it
S: faint ethanol, fainter floral-berry hops(?)... effectively neutral in expression, and startlingly weak... alcohol gets more potent as it goes; blueberry brandy
T: blueberry lemon mush up front, immediately followed and swept away by fruity and lightly herbaceous hops of a complimentary character to the real fruit... back end has a muted malty floor, mellow tannic accent atop berry skin, while the aftertaste carries a mild almost cinnamon or dried ginger spice
F: smooth, slightly swollen body, delicate resinous envelope; subtle nip to its bitterness, clearly honed by the quiet heat... say my taste sensation is shot: this has the texture of a fortified IPA
O: again, per the recent thread, this is in no way an (imperial) IPA, but I'm going to give the Overall a rating as if it were, and I'm still not sure why we need to categorize by marketing on BA... 'fruit and field' all the way, flavorful overall with an excellent expression of the true blueberry, but we all know hops makes everything an IPA, so yeah... this is more of a malt(y)-based cocktail, if anything (1820)

12 ounce can poured into a tulip glass. Born on 6/7/21.
L---Opaque purple color with a fluffy pinkish head that faded pretty quickly to a ring and left good lacing.
S---Strong blueberry, lighter lemon. Nicely balanced between the two. There's also some hops to remind you this is an IPA.
T---Same as the nose. The most notable thing is how well the two complementary notes are balanced off of each other. Barely tastes like an IPA. If I was drinking blind, I would never guess IPA.
F---Medium bodied with nice carbonation.
O---It's a tasty fruited ale, I just wouldn't call it an IPA.
