Here's a taste of South Jersey, better known for farms than fist pumping. Roasted and dark crystal malts shine through in a smooth and light-bodied porter that is balanced by a hint of sweetness thanks to the local Jersey Fresh honey. Welcome to the Garden State, bro. Apiology is the bee's knees!
With a sweet hint of honey, Honey Porter goes down smooth thanks to its balanced, robust and light-bodied finish. This award-winning Brown Porter is brewed with Jersey Fresh-certified honey and a firm malt presence, making it extremely approachable, no matter the season.
Best paired with Swiss Cheese, Candy, Nuts.

I could've sworn I reviewed something from Cape May before but apparently this is my first one. I know for a fact I've tried a few of their beers without review, this one included as it's the last of a six pack I picked up when visiting a friend in Jersey a few months back. I'm a sucker for honey in beer so I already know this will get a good review. Let's dive right in
Pours a very dark reddish brown with 2 fingers of soapy light tan head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose presents a great balance of roasty and sweet notes. I'm picking up on aromas of bread crust, biscuity malt, medium roast coffee, honey, red grape, vanilla, cocoa powder, and a touch of earthy hops
It's quite similar in taste though a bit drier than the aroma would lead you to believe. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting cocoa powder, raisin, leafy hops, dark toast, sweet honey, black cherry, and light vanilla. The swallow brings notes of milk chocolate, red grape, vanilla, bread crust, black cherry, black tea, light honey, and almond
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes a tad sticky but dries out over time
Yeah, as expected this is damn solid all around. I'll definitely be picking up more of this

Darker creamy beige head sits over an opaque black brown pour. Chocolate cocoa nose prevalent. Coffee taste and roasted malt meets with peanut butter. Evenly balanced mouthfeel which is mostly laid back, and dovetails with a decent warming from the 5.4%. Enjoyable brew with a semi dry finish.

Poured chilled from a can into a 16oz pint glass. Appearance is a deep brown with a 3 finger khaki head. Head dissipated fairly quickly with no discernable lacing on the glass.
Aroma is faint. Some roasty malt, coffee, and distant hops.
Taste follows the nose. Roasty sweet malt, coffee, some hops on the back.
Mouthfeel is light-medium. Fair carbonation bubbles. A little 'thin' for my taste in a porter. Picking up a bit of warm honey in there now.
Overall this isn't a bad porter. Fairly balanced....leans slightly sweet thus the name. Very drinkable and I would probably get this again.

12 oz can poured into a nonic pint glass. Look is dark brown with some reddish highlights, with a rocky light tan head that falls off slowly. Some lacing left in the glass as you drink. Smell is coffee, roasted malt, nutty, maybe a touch of hops. Taste is roasted malt, nuts, coffee, baker's chocolate, a bit of sweetness in the end. Feel is medium bodied with nice carbonation that gives it a bit of liveliness. Overall, solid, tasty porter from New Jersey. ABV is easily manageable so you can have a couple.

12oz can served in a tulip. Born 100323. Gifted to me from @jonphisher.
Pours dark nutty brown with a very large, fluffy head that deflates slowly, leaving huge clumpy lacing and a thick, lumpy cap. Smell is light roast coffee, bread and biscuit, lightly yeasty.
Taste is nice bitter roast, strong toasted nuts, honey is vaguely noticeable, maybe a bit of a semi-sweet chocolate bitterness.
Mouthfeel is just on the light side of medium, pretty clean and smooth. Overall, very nice porter.

This beer poured an opaque very dark red/black color with a sizeable tan head that dissipated slowly. The aroma is very mild. The taste is nicely bitter/sweet with predominantly chocolate and coffee flavors.
