a tasty golden sour done with strawberry, clean on the lactic souring, natural enough on the fruit, light to drink, not too acidic, summery as they come, this is warm weather patio beer, a drinker not a sipper due to the restrained sourness, minimal in nature overall, but quite well made. a blonde and clearish pour from the tall can my parents brought back from their trip to florida, fizzy but without holding any head, and no real color influence from the fruit, maybe the faintest shade of pink, but you have to look for it. the aroma and flavor are the same, maybe a little brighter in the nose, citric lemony tartness, a simple cereal grain base, and a jammy concentrated strawberry flavor thats not overdone nor sugary, slightly sweaty but just for a second on the souring, dry and tidy at the end which is where it matters most, and plenty of carbonation. i get a light salt thing here, drying and enhancing the fruit, not sure if its just the water chemistry, but its there to me on each sip. overall this is solid, almost too simple, like its minimal in a way that feels like something is missing, maybe a little more from the malt, but its hot weather beer for sure, makes sense in a florida context. i think i liked this one a little better than the peach mango edition, but they are pretty similar. cool brewery, i hope to visit some day!
