A: single finger head with nice lacing on a jet black body.
S: full roasted malts. Slight coffee and hop notes.
T: Roasted malts dominate with only herbal notes from the hops. A touch of coffee.
M: medium body and moderate carbonation.
Overall: I generally am disappointed in the lack of hip representation in black IPAs and this one sort of follows the others.

A - poured with a minimal head on black body. The foam settles quickly and leaves little lace.
S - light roast with some spicy hops and a touch of caramel.
T - roasty malt up front with some herbal hops. Grassy notes in the middle with a bit of a metallic note. Finishes with molasses, coffee, smoky caramel, and pine hops.
M - medium body, moderate carbonation, and a balanced finish.
D - not bad, despite a touch of metallic harshness in the hop profile, things work fairly well and the malt has a perfect level of roast to keep things interesting.
