This one is a black pepper saison.
A: almost no head but that may be related to the pour. Cloudy dirty golden body. No lacing to speak of.
S: smells like a musty not from concentrate glass of orange juice only less sweet. Mild pineapple and banana notes.
T: melon, pineapple and lemon citrus upfront which is mildly sweet. This fades to a cracked black pepper, musty yeast, clove and herbal finish.
M: light to medium body and moderate to high carbonation. Relatively moist finish for the style.
Overall: This is a nice refreshing and highly drinkable brew. It's not quite a great beer as some of the flavors are simple and not very exciting but still a good summer beer. It's just too fruit juice like.
