12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 10/17/16, had 12/12/16.
Pours an opaque, dark brown. with a half inch head of darker foam and some spotty lacing. Aromas of medium roast malts, raspberries, some bourbon- more as it warms, chocolate, light vanilla and smoke. Smells pretty good. The taste leads with the malt, but not as roasty as the nose, then chocolate, raspberries, lighter bourbon, caramel, a little molasses. I like the moderate sourness from the raspberries. Smooth, a solid, medium body, well carbonated.
Good raspberry aroma and flavor, well blended and enjoyable. Could use maybe a little more barrel. Worth a purchase if you see it.

A twelve ounce bottle dated 10.17.16 poured in a 13oz. Greenbush snifter.
Look- Pours a cola brown color with a finger of light brown foam. A generous amount of lacing is left as it settles.
Smell- Raspberry jam, faint whiskey and wood.
Taste- Raspberry forward followed by dark chocolate and mild whiskey. A touch of oak in the finish.
Feel- Slick on the palate to begin and finishes very dry like a red wine.
Overall- A very good fruit forward barrel aged porter where the barrel flavor is hidden, but sneaky. It tastes a little on the harsh side and I have a hunch because of my experience with some of their beers that this one may need some time to develop. I'll revisit this in three months to see where it's headed?
