(11.2 oz bottle, 071521(?); purchased single off shelf today... decanted into a fat tulip)
L: cloudy, jade-yellow liquid; big fat tight foam pillow... one of the most glorious foam stands I've seen in awhile - too bad the liquid is obscure... some jagged swaths of lace; messy cap maintains
S: more or less like Saison Dupont?... cake and spice... subtle citrus oil highlights... just sublime aromas; Dupont-heavy but spot-on execution
T: oh shit, there's a bunch of hops in this(?)... perfumed paper, bubblegum pancake crust; field-earthy, wild-flowery palate aromatics... dry as the Atacama (yet to visit)... the bubblegum lingers loudly... grass and dough and delicate phenolic spice
F: inflated plush... damn delicate fleecy texture... mellow residual spiced warmth... near silty friction, but seriously a svelte, suave swoosh with each sip
O: pass by the Oxbow too often... this was a good one - a flour-y accent on a Saison Dupont; dry AF... at 2.49 per bottle, I may just snatch up the remaining row at the local graveyard 'bottle shop' (1866)

07/01/20 bottle from the brewery in Portland during 2020 Maine trip. Pours opaque bubbly pale yellow with fluffy white head and nice lacing, smell is muted doughy malts with hints of yeast and grass, taste follows the nose with bright and sweet doughy malts, hints of grass on the finish, feel is light and well carbonated. Easy drinking and refreshing, I could drink a gallon of this stuff.

Bottle to tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking semi-cloudy yellow color with some white foamy head softly dissipating. Just some wispy concave lace.
The aroma had some green peppers, vanilla and white vinegar up front mixing it up semi-sweet with a stiff tart character underneath. Green apple sweetness and Belgian sweet crackers drop a small presence along with some black pepper and grassy hops.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side of the white wine, crushed black pepper, tart side of the green apples and a small cropping of vanilla sweetness. Throaty musty basement funk cements itself in the taste as it all comes together to muster a fine aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping to semi-sessionable quality about it. Pretty good carbonation leading into a nice smoothness all around. Finishes with some Belgian spice, grassiness, crisp cracker and some musty funk.
Overall, another fine saison by Oxbow, hard to not like at all. Would pair fabulously with some grilled lobster.

Bottle. Very pale clear gold. Green grape white wine pepper aroma with a hint of vanilla. Peppery finish with some residual sugary sweetness. Llight and lively. Very good.
