one of, if not the single best beer ive had from these guys. perfect for this time of year, big in body like a stout, with a ton of burning warming roasty grain character and then all this smoke in the finish with what I perceive to be a lager yeast, or a real cold fermented ale yeast, its a lovely combination. dry as heck, it starts bitter but smooth from the grain, and the smoke sort of works its way in, ramping up to a campfire finish. cleaner than the rauchbier stuff, but it has that outdoorsy quality to it, which makes it for me. love the feel, full bodied as regular porter gets, enough carbonation, and a decadence without having any sweetness at all. they should have canned this one, its different and delicious.
