2015 Release

Dark brown body; thick, creamy, light tan head; rings of lacing. Aroma exudes roasted grains and notes of cloves, cinnamon; trace of cocoa. Mellow taste combination of what is in the aroma; a bit more chocolate; mild alcohol presence. Heavy body; smooth and velvety; warm and lush.

An outstanding seasonal saison that really allows the dark malts and holiday spices to shine. The body is undeniably thick, smooth, and velvety which allows the flavors to coat and please the palate. The high ABV is kept in check (flavor-wise). The bottle lists this as a "super limited release", but one can certainly hope that this beer makes future appearances.

Served on tap at the brewery.

Hazy copper Orange color with very thin head.

Aroma is faint but has some minty character in addition to the more expected Belgian yeast.

Flavor is more pronounced with the mint so my suspicion is confirmed. A little bit of winter spice but it seems like a traditional Saison with a bunch of king leaves added.

Mouthfeel is just right with medium-light body and perfect carbonation.

Overall a bit of an odd beer. Not what I was expecting but not bad at all.

On tap at Denver Beer poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of peppermint, bread, light clove and light yeast. Mouthfeel was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, peppermint, light clove and a hint of fruttiness with a smooth dry lingering peppermint finish.

Dark orange pour, semi hazy, bright though. Nice white fluffy head.

Spicy orange peel aroma. A bit herbal and minty. Soft biscuit up front, the end aroma has some cherry.

This saison has a wee bit of sugar/sweet/candy in it, to me at least. It's a bit sweet. Orange peel, grapefruit zest. White pepper, clove, mint, sage, some green tea hints. A bit tannin-y and dry, but overall it's fruity and sweet leaning.

It's a nice beer. Carbonation is jumpy. Finicky style, too

Orangey flavors in a cidery brew. Very acidic. Hazy amber color in the tulip glass. More of a Hefeweizen in flavor. Banana and cloves but quite woody on the tongue. Really fragrant. I don't know if it actually has orange in it, but it certainly tastes like it.

Maybe it's a Belgian hefe, it certainly doesn't taste like a Saison except for the tartness.
