Dark brown pour. Some ruby tints along the rim. Lacing thins out from an off-brown head. Swirl brings it right back.
Rich aroma. Cocoa, caramel, some vanilla.
Flavors mirror the nose. Caramel seems most dominant. Cocoa powder and vanilla come and go. At first, it tastes like it's been aged in bourbon barrels. Closer attention and one can notice that there are no woody notes.
A good winter beer. Alcohol isn't intrusive. Would go well with snow
