first beer from denver beer co, not amazed. more of a hefeweizen/saison mix then a pure saison to me, the yeast is wrong. pours a very cloudy dense looking yellow color with a small white head. smells like banana clove yeast like a hefe, some pale malt backing. flavor is really yeasty, spiced and citrusy. its refreshing but a little too heavy in the feel. carbonation is there, but the body is just too much for whats supposed to be happening here. overall i am reluctant to call this a saison, and i likely wont be getting it again, but i guess its not a bad brew. just lacks the mouthfeel and yeast profile necessary to make this a true saison.

This beer pours like a runny egg yolk in orange juice. Thick, can't see through it at all. Little head. Something went wrong here...I hope.

Corn and banana aroma. Some clove and coriander. Sweet.

Yeah, corn. Too much corn. Sweet banana and faint clove. This beer is by far DBC's worst, and I hope it's just a bad batch that they can tweak. There's nothing that can be guessed as saison-like here. Maybe the subtle spices, but it's too sweet to find them.
The yeast seems like their hefe strain, but it doesn't go well here
