Denver Beer Co. "Mind Reader ESB"
Served on-draught into a 5 oz sampler glass at Denver Beer Co. Reviewed from notes taken summer 2012.
A: Pours a one finger beige colour head of nice cream, okay thickness, and bad retention (~30 seconds). Colour is a clear copper. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show. Opaque.
Sm: Toasted malt, caramelized malt, caramel, cream, and light clean malts. A light aroma.
T: Clean malts with caramel and light toast character. Simple but enjoyable and somewhat refreshing. Not complex or subtle, but decently balanced and built. No yeast or alcohol comes through.
Mf: Smooth, wet, overcarbonated, and entirely too thick for its lack of flavour.
Dr: Fairly drinkable and enjoyable, but limited by its overcarbonation and simplicity. I wouldn't have it again, but I guess it's a decent session beer.

This beer is easy drinking. The bitterness is low but present: grassy and earthy. Malt character is mild to semi-sweet.
This is a solid beer. Detractions, that really aren't all that detracting, are the aroma and look. while I don't give much creedence to looks at a bar due to the pouring. The aroma was soft and nutty, nothing bad, just hard to detect.
A good starter beer that will probably pair with any food trucks that roam these here parts
