If the whoppers candy company where to ever team up with bourbon and beer makers, then this is the type of product that would result. Kane’s “Bell” series is the perfect porter base beer to pull off such a collection of flavor.
Very dark brown and easily mistaken for stout, Evening Beer releases a creamy mocha whipped froth along with an aromatic display of coffee, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and a hint of port wine fruitiness. Malty sweet and coating the palate like dessert, a bold milk chocolate flavor couples with caramel, toffee and honey for a richly textured upstart.
As the flavors of bourbon slowly emerges, the vanilla, caramel, nutty and oaken nuances rises to wrap around the chocolate and gentle coffee flavor for a sense of chocolate covered coffee beans. Hints of port wine rises as the finish brings a savory, sweet and warming closure.
Full bodied creamy and soothing from start to finish, the highly complex and impeccably balanced porter shows that the Bells just keep getting better.

Brief Review:
O: Shout out to Sadmachine for sending this as an extra. First time trying Kane, heard they make some stellar brews out in NJ. This one is nice. A little sweet initially on the palate, but balances out as you get used to it. Good mouthfeel. Wish it had maybe a little more chocolate or coffee backbone bitterness to balance the sweetness from the milk.
Recommendation: Pretty good beer from Kane, would love to try more.

Pours dark brown with a half inch tan head that fades to a tan ring. Aroma is smoky and earthy with roasted notes. Taste is mild coffee and a touch of booze. Feel is excellent, very smooth with no burn. Overall this may be the best porter I've had.

16 oz can, canned on 11/13/2018.
Didn't have any Guinness on hand for St. Patty's Day so decided to pair this with some homemade corned beef and cabbage. Not exactly a perfect match but it did the job.
Pours very dark brown with clarity around the edges and a huge creamy brown head. Wasn't expecting such a large head on a 9.2% ABV beer but it looks awesome.
Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, and raisin. A noticeable sweetness, likely from the lactose.
Heavy dark chocolate and sweet lactose flavor. Coffee takes a little but of a back seat but is definitely there.
Silky smooth finish. Full bodied. A hint of booze. Strong stuff here but tasty and well made. Still tasting great after 1+ years in the can.

L: Careful pour leaving a dense two fingered off white head
S: Not picking up a whole lot here. A blend between the sweet lactose and caramel is what I'm picking up
T: Sweet, and slightly roasty
F: Smooth, creamy and on the high end of porter mouthfeel as you'd expect from Kane
O: Nice porter but nothing really stands out

Pours an impenetrable black in color with a finger of khaki/light brown head with impressive retention. Aroma is a little muted; dark & burnt malts, some chocolate, and generic coffee notes. Taste is much like the aroma but with a greater emphasis on the burnt malt notes and the addition of some caramel sweetness. There are still lots of dark malt flavors, very tasty and nuanced. Medium-full body, low-moderate carbonation, a little syrupy. Overall a great beer, very flavorful and drinkable, especially given the ABV.

Poured from the tap at The Landing in Hillsborough, NJ. Can't believe it's 9.2 ABV. Drinks between a porter and a stout. Absolutely delicious.
