Appearance: pours an effervescent, brilliant golden-orange hue with an billowy cap of rich white foam. Near perfect appearance. Average lacing for the style.
Aroma: The nose is yeasty (in a good way) with apple, pear, banana, cloves, with some sweet bread as well.
Mouthfeel: light to medium bodied, frothy, with a dry but fruity finish. The alcohol is very well hidden.
Flavor: Subdued and elegant. Plenty of orchard fruits, some citrus, breadiness. A little bit of banana and clove appears as it warms
Overall: An outstanding brew and excellent example of the style. This is a great beer to enjoy on a chilly December evening (like tonight) but it would be just as appropriate on the back deck in July. All around wonderful beer that I count myself as lucky to have had the chance to try.
