2015 version made with Oast House Cascade and Nugget - on draft at Clark Bar at Whole Foods. This was a bit maltier than I like for hoppy beers, but still very nice.

Had this the other night up at the Cloverleaf for the first time. I love all of Kane's beers and even though this was listed as being retired on here, this beer was new to the tap rotation the night I went. It's not as good as the Head High but I enjoyed it quite a bit and it was another solid IPA from them, from start to finish!
Nice almond hue to the pour with a head that filled up the remainder of my glass mug and didn't quit for quite a while. The first few sips were strong, with quite a sense of weed and pine. Dank, slightly skunky, but yet well-balanced, this had a nice full feel to it while staying true to form stylistically. Great rings of lacing were to be seen as well but only along the top third or so of the glass. A slightly minty aftertaste was the result of a clean finish and the citrus and caramel notes were a bit more muted than in similar IPA's that I've had as of late.
This was a bit strong but not to the taste and it was only after I finished this off that I could feel a bit of the alcohol on my breath. While not standing out from other examples of this style, this was another solid offering in Kane's profile and more proof of how quickly they've gained a foothold in my home state. Still hoping that this beer isn't retired and will be seen around these parts now and again!
