Had 4 oz pour at kane brewing. Could smell the tart cherries from several feet away. Well balanced with a good tart finish.

3 oz taster a the brewery on 5/20/16 - these are the notes I emailed to myself
L: dark brown, good head of about 2F, some retention, lacing, ring
S: complex, roasted malts, yeast/bret, cherries, vanilla
T: malt and cherries up front, sour kicks in but restrained, long finish with unsweetened cocoa and vanilla
F: med body, light to med carb, outstanding construction and good balance
O: unusual and very nice. not my thing but appreciate their effort.
A bit more a day later: This is a sour porter, which is a style I had never even heard of before and not sure really exists outside of Kane's imagination. So double-bravo for the effort. Again, not my thing but I can't help but give high marks for this accomplishment. ABV not overwhelming, but it still is a very slow sipping drink.

I'm giving this bonus points for uniqueness on top of deliciousness. Sour cherries for sure in the taste. A sour porter. Never had one before as far as I know but this is amazing. Should bottle this one in the future!
