Pale ale brewed in collaboration with our friends @finbackbrewery. Sea Cow was brewed with a combination of Pilsner, Golden Promise and Oats and hopped with Riwaka in the kettle and Nelson Sauvin and Motueka for dry-hopping.

Received as an extra in a trade. Canned 07/07/17.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy light gold hue with a one finger white head that fades to leave a light blanket. Very little lacing.
S - Aromas of bready malts, little bit of floral hops, really really faint fruits, older NZ hop aromas, little bit of Nelson notes on the finish. I bet this would be have been nice and bright when fresh.
T - Taste is unfortunately similar to the nose. Obviously pales are not supposed to be super hop bombs, however, it tastes like there was once something greater there. Decent amount of bready crackery malts, lighter sweet floral hops, super faint tropical sweet pineapple notes, little bit of musty melon notes.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, slightly crisp, though feels a bit watery.
O - Overall this APA had loads of potential. I would have liked to have tried this back in July when it was super fresh to see how much the hops shined.

Full disclosure: not a fan of straight up Pales. This one has a real flavor. Couldn't be happier with a Pale Ale.

Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a hazy/cloudy with little to no lacing. Nose of pineapple, citrus, and other tropical fruits. Taste follows with flavors matching the aromas with very little bitterness until the bitter end. ;) Mouthfeel is a tad thin with a very thin finish. Overall, glad to try a new offering from Kane. Cheers to Rob W. for this one!
