SBX - formally known as Imperial Sneakbox - is brewed with American two-row, red wheat malt, malted oats and caramalt. We add just a bit of Citra in the whirlpool and then follow that up with a massive dry-hop of Citra and Galaxy.

Excellent head production and retention. Body is shockingly opaque and turbid, but a bright and inviting orange color.
Orange impressions persist on the nose, along with notes of grapefruit, lemon, and both bright and dank herbal tones. Fantastic aroma, loaded with bright citrus but with depth and complexity.
Flavor follows, with tangerine, orange, and grapefruit notes leading the way, before some tropical notes of melon, mango, and papaya arrive around the transition from first to second third. The citrus never goes away, however. Balanced bitterness; moderate malt body sweetness that emphasizes breadier notes over any presence of the caramalt, which presents only a slight bit of toastiness.
Full bodied, creamy, and smooth. Just a bit of alcohol bite.
This is an excellent IIPA very clearly in the mold of Heady.

Canned on 12/9/2020. Poured into a Kane snulip glass. It pours a totally opaque, dirty yellow with a large, fluffy bright white cap and thick, clinging lacing. Nice nose! lemon, lime, grapefruit, onion, and some faint floral hops. The taste opens quite herbal and piney, with lemon peel, grapefruit rind, and nice hints of berry , honeydew melon, and lychee. There is also a subtle oat sweetness at mid palate. The dry-hopping of Citra and Galaxy add a biting bitterness at the finish. This is a fairly basic recipe and it tastes great! The mouth feel is moderately creamy with pleasant carbonation, and the 8.4% ABV gives it lots of substance. Overall, it's hard for me to compare SBX to Sneakbox. They seem like completely different beers. But SBX is equally outstanding. Just a great DIPA for any time of the year. It's big enough to pair with anything grilled but basic enough for casual drinking. One can will not be enough.

Finger plus of creamy white, dense foam, above average retention and very thick lacing. Opaque liquid, puree appearance, dark yellow. there’s a core of sinewy dark herbaceous matter and fresh marijuana to the nose, lucky its strong because so is the mango, melon, pineapple scents, lush and juicy, slightly more demure tangelo citrus, pepper and biscuit notes. Medium-bodied, very creamy mouthfeel while retaining some bitterness. The dankness takes a big step back here and the orange, tangerine citrus steps up in its place. Piney, more of the biscuit, doughy bread. Floral in a more subtle way. Here the melon fruit seems most prominent, then papaya, mango, pineapple to apricot. The finish is somewhat foursquare and blunt, no crispness nor clean, scrubbing sensation. Loaded with flavor, genially clumsy.
