The Sea Stares Back, a 8.1% Imperial Wheat IPA brewed with Pilsner and Red Wheat. Brewed in collaboration with Troon Brewing, we used a small addition of Citra hops in the whirlpool then double dry-hopped it with a blend of Nelson Sauvin, Huell Melon, Halltertau Blanc and Mandarina Bavaria at a rate of over 6 pounds per barrel.

On tap at Morris Tap and Grill in Randolph. Pours a golden effervescent hue with moderate frothing. Mellow aroma replete with hints of citrus and grapefruit. Similar overall flavor profile.

Growler purchased at brewery 11/24/17. Poured into Belgian ale glass.
L: 1.5F head leaving spotty lacing and a ring. Beer is a light gold.
S: Lots of nice citrus and berry notes. You get the Pils, too.
T: Follows nose. Definite maltiness to this with the Pils and Wheat. Pretty neutral finish, at that.
F: Medium body, moderate carbonation, construction and balance are very good.
O: Nicely done, and a nice departure from super-hopped DIPAs.

Pours a thick cloudy amber with a billowy white foam head that hangs around for a while. Great bouquet of citrus: lemon and grapefruit dominate. Tangy and sweet, fantastic malt backbone, loads of citrus hoppiness, lemon rind, grapefruit pith, creamy vanilla in the background. Creamy and fill. Odors with excellent carbonation. Overall this is an excellent beer. I hope they make it again.
