First Reef, a 7.8% IPA, is a smaller version of our Triple IPA, Third Reef. It’s brewed with Pilsner and Honey malts and wheat and oats. It’s hopped with Simcoe in the kettle and dry hopped twice with Citra, Amarillo and Galaxy.

On tap at the brewery.
Nice looking light wheat and yellow haze. Waves of lacing from the white cap.
Strong citrus aromas; grapefruit, orange stuff, and zesty. A little tropical aroma as well.
Aromas turn into flavors of grapefruit, orange, lime, and pineapple.
Smooth juice feel. Oats and wheat drive a chewy medium body.
Kinda Jersey IPA, kinda neipa, too. The blend works well.

Brightly delicious nectar that I’d drink everyday if I could!! Grapefruits tangerines sprinkled with pineapple spritz with smooth creamy mouthfeel and goes down like a lightly effervescent dream. Kane is King!

Aroma: light citrus.
Taste: Tangerine, lime, pineapple, grapefruit.
Light bodied, smooth, medium carbonation.
Very pleasant. While notbincredibly flavorful, there are some nice mild tropical and citrus notes.

If this isn't Kane's haziest beer, it is pretty close. I absolutely love Third Reef and this a nice lower ABV version. Kane keeps turning out world class hoppy beers and this one is one of their best.
