Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy pale yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones with some tropical hops notes and a semi-sweet finale. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones with some tropical notes and a semi-sweet finish. Body is full for style with a creamy feel with good carbonation. Enjoyable NEIPA with tropical hops dry hopping approach.

Very decent, average to start, but picked up malt in second half of can to be delicious. Nothing to not like, very good quaffability. Some lasting head, no burn.

A column of dark sunburst down shrouded by lighter a lighter yellow-tangerine where the sun penetrates. Head is white a frothy. Retention is half a session in length with waterfall lacing.
Aroma features sweet tropical fruits of mango-pineapple, papaya-tangerine. A real nice melange of floral and fruitiness. More green resin and residual sweetness than non-DDH that binds with stone fruit and caramel malt. More candied fruit aroma, less bright.
Flavor is very much bittersweet passionfruit, grapefruit peel, and floral orange zest to start. A bit of bubblegum transitions to sweeter tropical tones mid-palate. It finishes with noticeable pine and citrus resin. Pilsnery malt, sweet biscuit, caramel-peach sauce.
Feel is crisp up front. Lively and med-light body plays nice with the more acidic and bittersweet fruits. Semi-low waves of carbonation, but it pairs nicely with the body.

This is drink all day delicious. Pours hazy yellow with a thick white head. Aroma is hop floral and maybe some grassy notes. Taste is hoppy bitter but not over the top. Feel is excellent, smooth and rich. Overall, delicious!

Kane is one of my favorite breweries here in NJ and they deliver another quality belt notch with Party Wave.
This IPA pours a classic hazy straw with a good white head. Love the lacing that stays on the glass. Nothing too strong jumps out to me.
The standard citrus smells greet you. Oranges and mango and lemon and lime. Not too earthy.
Party Wave follows the same current for its flavor profile. Just a standard IPA. Not too high on fruit or hops. It sits somewhere in between the two.
Fresh and clean. Like a new fit headed out to a party at the club. Party Wave is a medium bodied easy drinker.
Maybe my tastes are leaning towards the heavier IPAs and this standard IPA is just too light for my tastes. It is good and my girlfriend loves it. But I want a little more on my next wave.

6th Review. Favorite local craft from OCEAN NJ, next door to AsburyPark.
As fine a DIPA as you can find.
a) hazed apricot flesh body with lively, lacing head.
s) Candied tangerine, papaya, orange, mango with a marmalade rind finale. A bit of French Bread Toast.
t) Flavor is that see saw between candied orange colored fruit and tangy bitter, with a background of fresh baked bread.
f) Silky, chalky, fresh, clean. (ocean indeed)
o) Deserves a blind taste vs strong DIPA line up, leans toward candied rind marmalade.

can to snifter.
LOOK: mildly hazy, darker yellow color, eggshell head is creamy and potent.
AROMA: grass, medium citrus with hints of some tropical fruits(mango the most, but still light). pleasant, but light-to medium in pungency.
TASTE: tangerine, pineapple, palm, passion fruit. Late hints of cracker, lime, blood orange, sour cherry.
FEEL: medium body, crisp and quaffable, good carbonation a little dusty with a hint of creamy.
Another win for Kane. The base Party Wave is one of my lowest rated Kane beers (89th of 101 at a 3.30 score), so this is certainly a positive adjustment. DDH fills in the blanks where the original is lacking.

A hazy pale orange color with a nice but rapidly thinning head. Moderate to heavy lacing. Citrus scents jump right up on opening a pint can. Smooth finish. Hoppy without the bite.

Pours a hazy medium straw color with appropriate foamy head. Nice light citrusy aroma. Flavor: has a nice, sharp hoppy bite - I get some citrus and some tropical flavors here. Grains give it a medium bodied weight. Not too sweet which surprises me, hops give it a nice mild/sharp finish. Carbonation adds to a creamy texture. Overall a good DDH IPA.

Torqued-up Party Wave. Oat and wheat base gives it a bright, refreshing bite. The additional Idaho 7 and Wai-iti dry-hopped supercharges the flavor. A very hop-forward, aggressive, refreshing effort.

Pours an opaque white-orange with a finger and a half of white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is tangerine, papaya, guava, orange, and mango with a tropical rind finish. Earthy, doughy, nutty malts add a little depth and character, but do little to balance out the nose. Flavor profile is guava, papaya, mango, tangerine and orange. It has a notible tropical fruit rind quality, as if the whole fruit has been squeezed and pressed and then zested. Malts are light, but hit notes of doughy, nutty, and lightly earthy. Balance is clearly tipped heavily towards hops, and tropical fruit at that. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a smooth, juice-like texture. There is a hint of chalkiness adding a touch of grainy and silty texture at the back, but other than that - it's smooth. Overall, big tropical fruit notes are the draw here. Malts are present, but faint.
