8 ball black with brown edges and a short creamy tan head settling to a bubbly collar.
Syrupy and sticky thick maple and molasses pair with cocoa-dusted raisin, all of which immediately veers into that raspberry while avoiding any unwanted medicinal notes. The raspberry brings a more smashed character to it, while a sharp heat stings and thins out the body on the swallow, developing a little nougat on the exhale. It definitely comes across like a formidable strong or old ale.
