Pours a clear, ruddy copper color with an off white foamy/creamy head which dissipates quickly. Smell is neutral with a slight hint of malt and grains.Taste is medium hop presence, a vanilla taste oddly enough, peppery. Feels crisp and well balanced finishes medium dry. Wow a Vienna lager, what a rare bird. Don' remember the last time I had one. A few years back Brooklyn lager used to tout their flagship beer as a Vienna lager, for whatever reason they don't call it that anymore. In NJ Kane is king as far as brewers go, Carton isn't bad. The fact that Kane mainly brews great IPA's and they concocted this is great. I personally am a little bored with super hopped up ales. This is a nice mellow change. Good job-

can to snifter
LOOK: clear red-brown color, above average eggshell head with very good retention.
AROMA: mostly grass/wood. light citrus and maybe apple, but very faint. low strength of aroma.
TASTE: bready malt with some light hints of citrus and wood and leafy herbs, grassy and oak finish. touch of soap; feels like it grows stronger throughout the beer.
FEEL: smooth. light body. slightly dry.
OK. Simple and there is nothing wrong with that. just lacks some distinction or "Umph".

16oz can that's 11 days old. Reddish amber color, capped with a couple fingers of foam. Floral aroma with maybe a little bit of rye-like character. Doughy with fleeting sweetness at first on the palate. Toasty bread with a fairly prominent hop bitterness after that. A little bit metallic. Totally clean, pretty bland finish. This isn't something I'd pick up again.
