This was the first of four Kane Port Omnas that a friend picked up for me recently, and it was a decent start to this year's series. While not terribly strong or potent, my main wish for this beer was that it was more flavorful as it seemed to be full of peanut butter, and not much else.

Of course, this had a dark brown pour to it that was topped off by a thin, bubbly head that was plenty tan and thick. That took a while to settle down by only a bit of spotty suds were left on my glass once I started to work my way through this. Some cacao was in the nose as the taste had a bit of bitter chocolate, booze, and Kahlua in it as this felt as much a cordial as it did a beer. The carbonation was spot-on and this was quite creamy and dare I say it - oily, with the end result making this feel like a nighcap and not necessarily a beer that I'd kick back with in the middle of a session.

There was enough body to this and the alcohol was more present on the palate than it was in actuality. Canned on 2/16, this held up well and would probably be better on tap with a few more bubbles in it. As it was, this was nice beer that was a tad powdery in the back and an interesting take on Port Omna. I'll know more after I have the other iterations in my queue!
