Notes via stream of consciousness: Wow, this is a triple IPA at 10.2%. It's poured a hazy but not too hazy deep golden body with visible particulate in suspension. It's resinous and citrusy in the aroma. It smells like Simcoe to me. What else is there? I don''t know. I don't even know if it's Simcoe but I'm pretty sure it is. The taste reveals that there's a whole lot more going on in terms of hops. Maybe I need to let it warms up a bit. The malt seems to have a caramelish side to it, and/or the base malt might even be pale ale. It's also a bit honeyish and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bit of honey malt involved. I'm getting notes of citrus with grapefruit and orange, and some red berry and gooseberry. There's also some pine and earthiness. There's a good balance between the maltiness and the hops. It's fruity upfront but the resins and pine come to the front in the mainly dry finish as the malt fades. This is a malty beer but it doesn't really come off that way which is an impressive feat as the hops usually fall back in the aroma in double IPAs but that's not the case here. The alcohol is also well hidden, particularly for being 10.2%. I'm still lost on the hops on this one but there is an oily kind of thing going on in the finish that reminds me of Galaxy. Who knows? Who cares? In the mouth it's full-medium in body and fairly crisp. The head held up well and the lacing is pretty decent, proving to me that the last beer I had in this glass didn't have very good head retention because of the beer, and not because my glass isn't clean. Overall I'm pretty impressed with this. It's surprisingly easy to drink giving everything I've mentioned, and it's quite complex and enjoyable.

Coppery gold pour wearing a nice layer of foamy white. Quite a brewing process as seen in the notes--no less than eight hops used between the kettle and the dry-hopping. Surprising that this IPA doesn't have much complexity. Flavor leans far more toward the southwestern and NZ hops used in the dry-hop, than it does toward the NEIPA hops like Citra and Mosaic which are used in the kettle and dry-hop steps. One plus for the flavor--the hefty 10.2% ABV is very well-disguised.
